Shadows of Doubt

For many of us the story we believe is that God is good, that He loves us and that He cares about us. But doubt rears its head into that story when we go through something that makes us feel like He isn’t all that good.

As uncomfortable and difficult as seasons of doubt can be, they are necessary to bring a person into a mature faith. Because when hardship comes and the faith has not been tested, it often crumbles.

So the goal of wrestling through our doubts is not to get to the place of assurance, instead it is to move towards the posture of trust.

Trust in the person of Jesus.
